Referring to the first quote, the “evil root” we are fighting is the unprincipled actions of our government (tyranny). It’s important to realize that the root cause of the government letting the people down is that the people did not maintain their vigilance (in a real way, ‘We The People’ the people let the republic down).
If tyranny itself is born of unprincipled actions and a lack of vigilance by the people, then the only lasting way to exile tyranny is to restore vigilance and principled action to the people. The grass roots movement has already made tremendous strides in this regard. The question is how do we complete this task effectively and with the greatest possible speed? …At full gallop!
At full gallop:
1. Like Paul Revere, wake up the “colonists” in a compelling way (thus restoring their vigilance).
Both the Wake Up Call Videos and the book Common Sense are very effective at jolting the viewer / reader awake and demonstrating the dangers of our “out of control government”. These materials are especially effective to wake up skeptics.
2. Calibrate their compass to true north (Reacquaint them with the Constitution and its inherent values). Do not underestimate the power of teaching people principles…they become self guiding…and powerful.
Moving forward, knowing basic constitutional principles is important. Constitutional principles are reviewed in Common Sense. There are also recommended reading materials at www.nccs.net (The National Center for Constitutional Studies). Additional materials related to the constitution will also be added to this site soon.
3. Once awake, everyone spreads the alarm, “riding” to warn the rest of the community.
Everyone that participates in The Great Paul Revere Gallop becomes Paul Revere just by “galloping” the materials forward. There is so much at stake right now, don’t stop there. Feel free to forward multiple copies of both materials …meet with friends and groups …wake up the whole village!
4. Move everyone to action – nonviolent yet powerful work to defend freedom and common sense. (Conservatives, Liberals, Independents, Etc.)
Getting involved is easier than it looks, and is much better than just yelling at the TV. The best advice is to visit grassroots websites and sign up for free email updates. Use these websites to find and attend local grassroots meetings, and, from there other doors will open.
